Coach Ernst Announces Two More Basketball Powers Added to High School and Post Grad Schedule:

New Hampton School

Summit Knight's coach Steve Ernst has added two games for both the high school and post graduate programs with traditional powers from the east coast. With an already star-studded 2010-11 schedule, the addition of St. Thomas More and New Hampton high school and post graduate teams will provide one of the strongest schedules in the nation (for a complete schedule, visit our site at www.eteamz.com/summitbasketball).

On Friday, December 3rd, the Knights will travel to St. Thomas More School in Oakdale, Connecticut to play the Chancellors high school team and the post grad squad. St. Thomas More is well known for their nationally ranked PG basketball team and the undefeated 2005 New England Prep Champion football squad. Their high school team always is rated one of the top teams in the country. St. Thomas More School in Connecticut: www.stmct.org.

Post Grad Basketball at Summit Christian Academy Knight

Summit's Post-Graduate (PG) Basketball program scores with proven academic success. Athletes who need higher college board scores, a stronger GPA or more time on the court before the 'big time' make their home at Summit Christian Academy. With an elite national schedule and intense individualized training, Knight basketball is on the rise. Because the students are postgraduates, our athletic teams compete against excellent college junior varsity teams as well as the best prep schools in New England. The benefits from this type of exposure and interaction, particularly with college coaching staffs, are many for our student-athletes as they prepare for college competition. As a result, Summit Christian Academy graduates will be found on many prestigious college rosters nationwide.

Improving academic skills is the number one priority for players under Head Coach Steve Ernst. Without good grades, there is no possibility for either college or NBA basketball. Coach Ernst considers himself a part of the Summit academic team, which helps his athletes attain their academic goals.

The one-year Post-Graduate program is a very successful option for most basketball players, And there is no loss collegiate (D1) eligibility.

Benefits of Summit's Post-Graduate Basketball Program:

To assist the late developer.
To afford the opportunity to improve college board scores.
To allow seniors with limited eligibility an opportunity to play.
To compete without the loss of a year's eligibility.
To provide an additional year of growth and maturity.
To assist in the development of self-confidence and self-discipline.
To allow for exposure and competition against top college and university teams.

It’s Official! Summit Christian Academy will launch a full-fledged soccer program this fall as we continue to upgrade every area and expand our athletic programs to provide our students a wide opportunity to participate in sports. Recently I had the opportunity to meet Scott Dane, the Executive Director of the Capital Area Soccer League. To my amazement Scott made a commitment to lead the formation and launch of the new Summit soccer team for both boys and girls for our next school year. Scott has also set up a time for Summit to host a summer soccer camp on our beautiful field with virtually all the proceeds to be applied to purchasing new uniforms for the boys and girls team! Mark this camp date down: Monday, July 19 through Friday, July 23 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm here at Knight’s Field.
